Open Letter to Supporters of OAuth2 Plugins for Apache

Michael Schwartz August 5, 2013

Dear Supporters of the CrowdTilt campaign for open source OAuth2 plugins for Apache:

Thank you all for supporting the OX CrowdTilt campaign!

We’re up to 30%, which is a critical mark.

I have been impressed with the level of support from individuals.

It has already exceeded my expectations.

“OAuth2 plugins for Apache” is not a general interest category, and it really speaks to the commitment of the people in our ecosystem.

But I need your help to get to the finish line in the next ten days!

I am flummoxed why there are no corporate donations. It is clearly in the interest of many organizations to have open source options for access management.

Logistically, the answer is that corporations don’t have budgets or process for “crowdfunding.” In an attempt to align with the research or training budget category, we have included an offer of a briefing for contributions of $1,500.

Learn more about the special briefing.

I don’t really know if this will work, but unless we find some organizations to pull their weight, I don’t think we’ll tilt.

To help get out the word, you can:

1) Tweet this:

Schedule an OAuth2 briefing for your organization, by making a donation to Open Source UMA and OpenID Connect:

2) Follow @GluuFederation and re-tweet countdown notices the last three days. We’ll publish at 1pm ET

Thanks for your continued support!!
