It’s that time of year again when Austin starts to buzz with excitement.
Why..? Because SXSW 2014 is rapidly approaching!
Here is a quick rundown of all our SXSW related events:
** Saturday & Sunday February 15th, 16th – HackingEAST – API’s for Art: Austin’s community of artists make our city a much more inspiring and fun place to live. But unfortunately, Austin’s population of artists probably exceeds the size of the art-buying market. The goal of this hackathon is to create a mobile app that helps local artists list their works, and people more effectively share the works with their network of art-appreciating friends and family. The winning team will receive FREE SXSW INTERACTIVE BADGES!
** Friday March 7th – Hacking LinkedIn – The B2B Bible: Gluu Director of Business Development Will Lowe will be hosting a workshop to teach the automation secrets that have expanded Mike’s professional network on LinkedIn by more than 1,000 targeted connections in less than 7 months.
** Saturday March 8th – South by GoLab Presents Carnival: GoLab Austin is back at it again this year with a Brazilian Carnival-inspired unofficial SXSW party. There will be live music, a DJ, live art, food and beverage, and potentially a wellness center for those people who show up and just want to unwind.
** Monday March 10th – Who Are You? From Meat to Electrons and Back Again: This is my first official SXSW session! In it, I will discuss the sexiest new ways to authenticate: mobile, location-based, biometric, image-based… proving who you are is now possible more ways from more types of devices than ever, and the pace of innovation is showing no signs of fatigue.
** Monday March 10th – UMA Roundtable – A Beef ‘N Bug BBQ: UMAnitarians gather to discuss latest developments around the new OAuth 2 authorization profile as well as other digital identity and security topics. Email email@example.com for the event password.
