Frequently Asked Questions

How many servers is a typical deployment?

We recommend a 2 server deployment in order to have matching production and development environments. For High Availability, we require a
4 server deployment. 

What is the cost of support?

Gluu sells support subscriptions for open source and on demand servers. All on demand servers include Level 1 annual support. See our support plans for a summary of available coverage.

Can I add more memory to my deployment?

If you’re using Gluu Private, you can increase your memory at any time. If you are using Gluu Public and 4GB of RAM is not enough, the next available amount is 8GB and costs roughly $200/mo. more.

What’s the difference between Gluu Private and Gluu Public?

With Gluu Private, the customer provides the IAAS service, which includes compute, storage, network, console access, power management (i.e. hard reboot), and instance-level backup. With Gluu Public, we provide all of the above.

Can I cancel my account at any time?

If you are on a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time. Customers on annual contracts can cancel within 60 days of their renewal date.

How fast does installation happen?

For Gluu Public, we estimate a 1 week installation period. For Gluu Private, where the customer provides the infrastructure, we estimate 3 weeks but can take longer if the necessary items are not provided to us promptly.
